We have had this tool manufactured to the same specifications as our original 1920's shop tool.
By far this is the best design for demounting and re-assembling early split rims.
The tool makes this difficult task that much easier with the simplicity of its design.
You simply place the two cut out pieces onto the back side of the rim and tighten them down.
Next you expand the rim a fraction so that the two pieces can move over each other.
Finally, slide a handle over the end and lever the rim open.
